The Intentional Group CNA Training Program is committed to preparing students for meaningful careers in healthcare through high-quality nurse assistant education. We provide hands-on training, experienced instruction, and supportive services to help our students succeed in state certification and employment.

Course Information

Program Name: Certified Nurse Assistant Training Program


Program Length: 160 hours (60 classroom hours + 100 clinical hours)

Program Objectives

Theory

Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:

 

  • Understand and apply basic nursing skills and patient care techniques.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of infection control, safety, and emergency procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

  • Qualify to take the California CNA Certification Exam.

Skills Learned

Students will gain hands-on experience and proficency in:

  • Performing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, ambulating, and repositioning patients.

  • Assisting individuals with personal care, nutrition, and mobility.

  • Promoting patient comfort, dignity, and independence in various care settings.

Course Structure

Total Hours: 160

Theory/Lab: 60 hours

Clinical: 100 hours

Students who successfully complete all coursework and clinical requirements will receive a Certificate of Completion and become eligible to take the State CNA Certification Exam.

Clinicals

Theory classes are 3 weeks long and are held Monday-Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Course Curriculum
 

The CNA Training Program is an in-person course that combines classroom instruction with hands-on training.
The didactic (theory) portion consists of 60 hours completed over 3 weeks, covering all essential areas of nursing assistant education.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted into The Intentional Group CNA Training Program, students must be at least 16 years old and possess a valid government-issued ID and Social Security card. Applicants are also required to complete a physical exam, TB test, and Live Scan fingerprinting, as well as participate in an interview with The Intentional Group Administrator or Program Director. Please note that in addition to the program’s registration and tuition fees, students are responsible for obtaining their Live Scan fingerprinting, physical exam, and TB test through their healthcare provider, as well as covering the cost of the State Board CNA certification exam (estimated at $120).

Program Overview

The total cost of The Intentional Group CNA Training Program is $1,800, which includes a non-refundable $300 deposit due at the time of registration. A payment plan option is available for students who prefer to pay in installments.

Financial assistance may also be available through partnerships with community organizations.

  • Non-Refundable Registration Fee: $300

  • Uniform (1): $70

  • ID Badge: $15

  • Stethoscope & Blood Pressure Cuff: $50

  • Textbook: $80

  • Workbook: $40

  • Supplemental Supplies: $45

  • State-Approved Nurse Aide Training Program: $1,500

Total Program Cost: $1,800

Out-of-Pocket Costs (Not Included in Tuition)

Students are responsible for the following additional expenses, to be completed through their healthcare provider or authorized vendors:

  • TB Test & Physical Exam

  • Live Scan Fingerprinting / Background Check

  • State Board CNA Certification Exam (estimated cost: $120)

• Attendance: Students must attend 100% of clinical and classroom hours.
• Grading: Minimum passing score is 80% on written exams and skills assessments.
